Esma Shmeit grew up in an entrepreneurial household and numerous years of experience in Business Management, B2B, Customer Service, Brand Management, Marketing, Hiring/Training, Sales, and Event Production before launching her own business, same music.
Esma is the Accounts Manager at Blastoff Media, a creator economy company that specializes in music and social media. She was Membership & Communications Coordinator at Alberta Music Industry Association and has worked events for corporate and non-profit companies such as Reebok, VeeFriends, Women In Music Canada, Edmonton Arts Council, Halftime Management, The JUNOS, FACTOR, Songwriters Association of Canada, Explore Edmonton, KDays Music Fest, Edmonton Public Library, Government of Alberta and Government of Canada.
Esma has also worked in the Canadian Entertainment Industry for over a decade. She has been invited to speak and Mentor at Grant McEwan University (Arts & Cultural Management) and Victoria School of the Arts. Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Esma moved across the country to Toronto, Ontario where she resided for six years immersing herself in Canada's main music hub.
Through internships, scholarships and formal education Esma gained immense knowledge about marketing with specifics in the music business and social media. She received scholarships to attend Canada's Music Incubator and Metalworks Institute in Toronto, ON.
Esma has worked with Roy Hamilton III (2XGrammy Nominee, Former Capitol Music A&R, #1 Hit Billboard Producer) and has had multiple opportunities to meet and learn from Gary Vaynerchuk (Marketing Mogul and New York Times Best Selling Author). Esma is well rounded in her knowledge of the many moving and ever-changing parts of the entertainment industry both on the artistic side and with business/marketing.
Esma is an artist, vocal coach, singer, songwriter, producer, editor, and recording engineer. Merging both the artistic world with the business world is what makes Esma a true asset to work with.
